Mechanical (Manufacturing) Engineering |
|
(Specialization in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing
Management)
Mechanical Engineering combines skills needed to conceive, design
and produce the moving parts, components and machinery in every
aspect of manufacturing. Modern mechanical engineers use
sophisticated computer-aided design and engineering skills to ensure
the reliability, efficiency and economics of the products. There is
an increasing shortage of trained graduates with technical,
analytical, business and interpersonal skills. The manufacturing
industry has led the world in innovation for almost a century, and
its operations are now firmly integrated with computer-aided design,
manufacturing and engineering. Our program in Mechanical Engineering
with specialization in Manufacturing provides skill, knowledge and
understanding in the areas of computer-based technologies and
innovative design processes. These are associated with current and
future generations of machines and engineers with broad-based
mechanical engineering expertise coupled with manufacturing
knowledge. Our focus is on the academic and practical skills needed
to become a professional mechanical and manufacturing engineer.
The program integrates knowledge of Mechanical Engineering core with
manufacturing essentials. The mission of the program is to produce
graduates with a broad-based foundation in fundamental engineering
principles and management practices.
