On 26th and 27th November 2014, NUST Community
Service Club (NCSC) organized Wafa Welfare Trust camp for orphans at the
helipad ground in NUST H-12. The event was held from 12 p.m-5 p.m on each day.
The aim of the activity was to raise awareness
for orphanages. The trust provides basic necessities of life including
subsistence (monthly ration, clothes, hygiene kits); education (including
school fees, books, school supplies and two uniforms); health (including
medical checkups and immunizations); social uplift (through extracurricular
activities), and last but not least, child protection rights (including
inheritance and family).
NCSC was lucky enough to collaborate with the
organization in this noble and philanthropic cause. They were responsible for
making arrangements to facilitate the visiting team. On both days donations
poured in as Nustians showed magnanimity of heart in helping their brethren.
Their overwhelming response proved testimonial to their humanitarian nature.
There was great appreciation for the work of
the trust and their dedication in selflessly serving the orphans. NCSC's role
