NCSC organizes Wafa Welfare Trust camp at NUST

On 26th and 27th November 2014, NUST Community Service Club (NCSC) organized Wafa Welfare Trust camp for orphans at the helipad ground in NUST H-12. The event was held from 12 p.m-5 p.m on each day.

The aim of the activity was to raise awareness for orphanages. The trust provides basic necessities of life including subsistence (monthly ration, clothes, hygiene kits); education (including school fees, books, school supplies and two uniforms); health (including medical checkups and immunizations); social uplift (through extracurricular activities), and last but not least, child protection rights (including inheritance and family).

NCSC was lucky enough to collaborate with the organization in this noble and philanthropic cause. They were responsible for making arrangements to facilitate the visiting team. On both days donations poured in as Nustians showed magnanimity of heart in helping their brethren. Their overwhelming response proved testimonial to their humanitarian nature.

There was great appreciation for the work of the trust and their dedication in selflessly serving the orphans. NCSC's role in identifying and supporting those serving humanity was also duly acknowledged.
