Community Service learning course commences by an inspirational talk by Air Commodore (Retd) Shabbir A. Khan

The course orientation of Community Service Learning Course (CSL-401) for the Spring semester 2017 was held on 13th September 2016 from 2:30 pm to 5 pm at SMME Seminar Hall. This semester the course is being run in smaller groups, five days a week.

The final year students of SCEE, SEECS and attended the workshop throughout the week. Ms. Sehrish Hamid Butt, AM Community started off with an orientation of the course.

After a brief orientation, an inspiration talk was scheduled for the students to motivate them towards social work and civic engagement. Air Commodore (Retd) Shabbir A. Khan, the founder of Rashid Memorial Welfare Organisation, delivered a rousing talk about how he along with his colleagues wanted to do something good for the society. The organisation is working towards the elimination of illiteracy, eradication of poverty and provision of healthcare facilities. His organization has built a role model city 35 kilometers from Hyderabad, five miles short of Tando Allah Yar, named Rashidabad.​
