Keeping up with the tradition of spreading awareness about the issues of the community and the best approach to solve them, the fourth workshop of Community Service Learning course (CSL-401) was organized in SCEE auditorium on 17 March 2015 and 19th  March 2015 from 2-5pm. The course participants belonged to SMME, SCEE, SEECS and RCMS. The subject of this interactive session was first-aid training and firsfighting.

The speaker for the event, Assistant Manager Community Service, Ms. Sehrish Butt, briefed the attendees on the basics of firefighting, tackling snake bites and demonstrated first- aid techniques for common medical situations. The training included CPR (for heart-attacks and breathing issues), choking counter-measures and dealing with burns and bone fractures, demonstrating each and every scenario on volunteers from the audience. The audience was also shown videos and documentaries related to these and many other similar situations.

The session was followed by a fire demo outside SCEE where the students were taught how to use the fire extinguishers which are available in NUST as well.
