Force (ANF), in collaboration with C3A and NUST Community Service
Club (NCSC), conducted a seminar on the use of drugs and its consequences. The
seminar took place at NIT seminar hall on 20th December 2016.
began at 1500 hours with the recitation of Holy Quran. Dr Siham Sikander from
C3A then gave a rather brief address in which he pointed out the role NUST,
particularly C3A, has been playing to raise awareness regarding this
menace. He further added that there is a dire need to raise awareness regarding
the issue and bring more of the drug addicts in the very fold of rehabilitation.

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) who with the aid of a video documentary described
the current situation of drug usage in Pakistan. Causing chills to run down the
spine, the documentary made those sitting in chairs to realise the immediate need to take actions. The last part of the
documentary focused on some of these actions taken by ANF. To complement the
documentary, Mr Jibran highlighted
different ways in which general audience can be involved in eradicating this
evil from the society. Warning of its very horrendous consequences, he briefed
on some of the symptoms of drug addiction. His words were allowed to work deep
into audience’s hearts who were now fully appreciating the need to increase
awareness and seek prevention of drug usage.
1600 hours, Brig. Hannad Ahmed Dogger, ANF, commenced his address, emphasising on continuous improvements being
made in recent past. Adding further, he said that ANF, backed with the youth of
the nation, can make a big difference in this regard.In conclusion of the
seminar, a question-answer session was arranged in which the queries of the
audience were addressed.
