TIC LAUNCHES NUST GLOBAL ACCELERATION PROGRAMME

The first cohort of the NUST Global Acceleration Program (GAP) departed for San Francisco on Sep 13th, 2018. The selected tech start-ups will be immersed in the Silicon Valley ecosystem for three months. The cohort comprises of 3 start-ups: Cloudlead, DIY Geeks and Wrollit.

Cloudlead is a Karachi-based start-up that offers an SaaS-based account intelligence tool and data platform for generating and enriching B2B leads.

DIY Geeks is building a one-stop software platform for all hardware needs, from the idea stage to building a complete hardware product. It is based in Lahore.

Islamabad based Wrollit is an ad-tech start-up which connects owners of advertising properties with advertisement opportunities through a shared economic platform.

The start-ups are accompanied by Mr. Adnan Faisal, GM TIC, who will be coaching them as well as connecting them with relevant mentors, partners, potential clients and investors.

The NUST Global Acceleration Program was launched earlier this year. It aims to accelerate Pakistan-based start-ups that require international market access for scaling up by connecting them with the Silicon Valley ecosystem. The program will select 12 post-revenue product-focused tech start-ups from all over Pakistan and immerse them in the high tech clusters of Silicon Valley in order to validate their products in the US market and then seek seed/venture funding for them.
