Students from NUST SEECS won the Pakistan Science Fair Award

Students from NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) have won the Pakistan Science Fair Award 2020 organised by Ulster University, United Kingdom. The award ceremony took place at Shamadan Hall, Serena Hotel, Islamabad, on January 28, 2020.

Noor Binte Amir, student of Bachelors of Engineering in Software Engineering (BESE), secured first position, whereas Muhammad Kamran Janjua, student of Bachelors of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), secured third position in the Individual Poster Competition. The title of the winning poster by Noor was "FLOWLINES: Tackling Body Image Issues using AI-Based Autodraw Art in AR", and the title of Kamran’s poster was "Plant Health Monitoring via Motion Induced Priors."

The Pakistan Science Fair Award 2020 is a collaborative project between Ulster University, UK and Pakistan’s leading universities; NUST, Air University, Bahria University, and FAST NUCES. This competition provided an opportunity for students to showcase their talent, as well as continue their studies with Ulster University. Students participated in Pakistan Science Fair Awards 2020, and designed posters that proposed innovative uses of Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
