3rd Batch of Army’s Young Officers Graduates from NUST

​The convocation for awarding bachelor’s degree in Military Arts and Science to the 3rd Batch of Young Army Officers from 128 and 129 PMA Long Courses, was held at NUST Main Campus, Islamabad, on September 8, 2016.

Rector NUST Engineer Muhammad Asghar, Hilal-e-Imtiaz and Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), was the chief guest on the occasion.  A large number of parents and dignitaries graced the ceremony. While congratulating the young officers, Rector NUST said during his address that armed forces have a very important responsibility of guarding geographical frontiers of the country. However, we now face a much greater and more pervasive threat from within. Foreign sponsored terrorism threatening internal instability is today the most dangerous threat to our survival as well as our way of life.

 He called upon the young officers, who lead their men into combat action, to lead by personal example and to inspire the men by their knowledge, understanding, character, courage and competence. He further said that he was greatly pleased to know that the Pakistan army is according top priority to the education of its officers and that NUST is making significant contributions in this endeavor. The chief guest wished the young graduating officers success in life and a bright future. Principal NIPCONS Maj General Mazhar Saleem Khan (Rtd), Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) , said in his welcome address that the focus of this program is to provide a solid base of an all-encompassing education and grooming to the students , with a view to helping them on the road to further learning and higher education.

Rector NUST and Inspector General Training and evaluation Pakistan Army , Lt General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) then distributed degrees and awards among the graduating officers.
