NUST Central Library is currently undergoing through a rapid development phase. The facility is likely to have books in the excess of 200,000 volumes, Journals, Off and online databases and other non-book materials. The library will aim at serving the educational as well as research needs of the students, faculty and researchers. The Library will consist of various sections for institutional Repository, Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Multimedia/ IT/ Internet lab, Manuscripts, Archive, Information Resource Centre (IRC), Journals and Government Publications. In addition, NUST Library System (NLS) consists of more than 18 libraries and is accomplishing its task of reaching to wider academic community. NLS has advanced its web activity with the subscription to many high quality electronic databases being made available through campus network to faculty, students and research scholars. Similarly, more than 60,000 book (full text locally + HEC) on all subjects, 20 online international databases (Full text), 10 million articles (Online access) and 23,000 Journals/Magazines (full text with bibliographical information) are accessible through HEC Digital Library. NLS also promotes Open Access e-resources. NLS is regularly conducting innovative Information Literacy Programs (ILP) for the benefit of students, researchers and faculty members and also making efforts in developing tutorials to make the community proficient in the use of WWW. Our OPAC is also being strengthened. We endeavor to further improve all our efforts to facilitate right information to the right user at the right time.
