Dr. Waqas Khalid completed his PhD from Department of Mechanical Precision Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia in January, 2019. His research was focussed on thermal comfort for in-patient wards in Kuala Lumpur private hospitals. He conducted thermal comfort survey in hospital wards and overall aim of his research was to save energy from AC systems in hospitals while maintaining acceptable thermal comfort for occupants.

He completed his masters from The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering and bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He has almost 10 years’ experience of energy technology research, teaching and supervision and completed various research and development projects on Thermal comfort, Energy Management, Solar and Geo thermal energy, Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning worldwide.​
