We feel delighted to share that we achieved HL7 Pakistan affiliate status on October 3 2010. This is an incredible accomplishment not only for us but for NUST, and above all for Pakistan as it is earned status. Mr. Muhammad Afzal (Team Lead HLH Project) participated in 24th HL7 Plenary and Working Group Meeting to attend the agreement signing ceremony at Cambridge USA on Oct 3, 2010. In this meeting Pakistan is given 37th affiliate status by HL7 International. The affiliation is
approved after several stages to pass like application submission, interviews of five stake holders (associated with academia, healthcare providers, vendors and government agencies) and finally the approval after recommendation of Due Diligence Committee and chairs of international affiliates. It is a true testament of our years of hard work and passion to have this excellent achievement. This is start of a new dimension with more challenges and opportunities. We are thankful to NUST SEECS and National ICT R&D Fund for their support and encouragement in this successful venture.
