1st Annual NUST Postgraduate Research & Engineering Symposium (PRES-14)
​The School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at National University of Sciences & Technology along with PhD students at SEECS is pleased to announce the 1st NUST Postgraduate Research & Engineering Symposium (PRES) to be held on February 8, 2013.
The PRES will provide a platform to the research students (PhD and MS Level) for:
  • sharing their research ideas
  • presenting their research activities
  • polish their technical communication skill, and
  • coordination between relevant research groups
It will provide an opportunity for MS and PhD students to discuss their research problems and concepts with the leaders from academia and industry. The event will take place on February 8, 2013 at the SEECS, Seminar Hall, NUST, H-12 Campus.  We are planning to invite speakers from various fields of industry and academia. We are also planning to create a platform for higher educational scholars to discuss their research themes and ideas with your research fellows. All senior PhD students (preferably in 2nd or senior years) will submit a concept paper and also present the concepts in form oral presentation in the front of other graduates. All first year PhD students and MS thesis students will submit an extended abstract and will present their research in the form of a poster.

Paper Submission:
Before submission your concept paper and extended abstract, please carefully read the following instructions.

Submission Guidelines

Submit your paper(s) in PDF file at the The concept paper from PhD students should be limited up to 6 pages in IEEE CS format and the extended abstract from Junior PhD students and MS students should be limited up to 2 pages in IEEE CS format. The template files for LATEX or WORD can be downloaded from IEEE Web site. All papers will be reviewed by our PC members.
All concept papers and extended abstracts presented in the PRES’14 will be included into the NUST Symposium proceeding. First author of accepted papers or posters are requested to register and present their work at the symposium, otherwise their papers will be removed from list.

Concept paper Submission (PhD Student at Pakistani Universities, preferably in research Phase students): February 02, 2014
Extended Abstract Submission (PhD 1st year Students and MS Research Students): February 02, 2014
Nomination Deadline: February 04, 2014
Registration Due: February 05, 2014
Final Manuscript Due: February 05, 2014
Publication of Program: February 05, 2014
