FICS 2014

NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), in collaboration with the ICT and Social Sector Committees of the NUST Corporate Advisory Council (CAC) presents “Finding Innovative and Creative Solutions for Society (FICS)” ( FICS is an inter SEECS competition that aims to encourage SEECS students to think innovatively, and get actively involved in social problem identification and consequently developing appropriate solutions. The objective of FICS is to instill a spirit of a commitment to learn and to give back to our society by deploying creative ideas and knowledge, among the students.

FICS Competition was divided in to 3 stages. A large number of projects were initially presented by the teams at Stage 1. The objective at Stage 1 was to shortlist suitable projects which could then proceed to Stage 2. Altogether 38 projects were presented in Stage 2, which was held on April 11th, 2014. Out of these 38 projects , 29 projects were shortlisted by the judges to compete in Stage 3, which is being held on 16th May, 2014

Our Industry Partners have shown keen interest to support many of these projects as they hold the potential to turn in to profitable business opportunities.
