  • Sofia Javed joined SCME as Assistant Professor in Feb 2016 after completing her PhD degree in “Materials and Surface Engineering” from same department in Nov 2015. Her area of research for Ph.D. was Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs). Presently she has 3 research grants for her ongoing projects. She is author of more than 10 ISI indexed impact factor publications with Impact points of more than 16.

  • She did her MS Materials and surface engineering in 2010 for which she received the President’s Gold Medal.

  • Graduated with Chemistry as the major subject from Institute of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.

  • Dr. Sofia has 2 months research experience at Ludwig Maximillians University of Munich, Germany after MS on NIM internship program.

  • She spent 6 months as visiting researcher at Centre of Super Diamond and Advanced Films (COSDAF) City University of Hong Kong during PhD on HEC-IRSIP program.​
