Wasif Farooq

  • Wasif Farooq was born on 9th March, 1981 in Sargodha, Pakistan. He finished his high school studies from PAF College, Kalar Kahar Chakwal in 2000. In 2005, he received his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Punjab University, Pakistan. After graduation, he worked as assistant manager production in Nimir Chemical Pakistan Ltd until 2010. He did his MS from KAIST, Korea under HEC scholarship. During PhD, he investigated all the process involved in microalgae biofuel production from ranging from upstream process of microalgae cultivation to downstream process of biodiesel production. After Successful completion of his PhD studies, he joined NUST.​
