Research Interests:

Experimental Fluid Mechanics, Multiphase Flows, Mathematical Modelling, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Approximate Analytical Techniques, Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluid Flows. Flow characterization using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique.


Research Projects:

Dr. Israr has worked in several research projects during PhD and Post-Doctoral experience. The details of the projects are as follows:

·         Temporal and spatial characterization of slug flow in pipelines using a simultaneous PIV-LIF Technique. 2011 – 2015

·         Turbulence characterization of in-cylinder flow using TR-PIV and proper orthogonal decomposition techniques. 2016 - Ongoing

·         Dynamical analysis of confined vortex ring in a perpendicular tube using PIV. 2016 -Ongoing

·         Effect of swirl gas injection on hydrodynamics and mass transfer in Bubbly flow reactor using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique. 2016 - Ongoing

·         PIV measurements of single phase horizontal pipe flow for the validation of numerical codes. 2016

·         MHD effect on CNG bubbles in Diesel using PIV technique. 2016 - Ongoing

·         Development of a Concept-Demonstrator Free Piston Linear Generator (FPLG) powered by flexi-fuel. 2015 - Ongoing
