ESCAP 2016

As you know it very well, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP), headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand publishes Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific – the state of the Economy Report of the Asia Pacific region every year. The Survey is released simultaneously in over thirty countries around the world on the same date.

This year, The Survey for 2016 will be released on April 28, 2016. In Pakistan, the Survey 2016 will be released on April 28, 2016 in the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), H-12 Sector, Islamabad at 11:00 am. The venue of the launch is the Seminar Hall of the NUST Business School (NBS). The launch will be Chaired by the Resident Coordinator of the UN in Pakistan Mr. Neil Buhne. Dr. Muhammad Hussain Malik – a former chief of the ESCAP, currently a visiting faculty at S3H, will present the salient features and the main findings of the Survey and Dr. Ashfaque Hasan Khan, Principal & Dean, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (S3H) of the NUST will present the perspective of the Survey with respect to Pakistan.
