Welcome to the Department of Development Studies at NUST School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Development Studies program exemplifies the strengths of critical social science enquiry by offering interdisciplinary and career-oriented curriculum. The department offers MS program to aspiring and established development practitioners through teaching the complexities and histories of sustainable development as well as imbibing practical, managerial, and actions-oriented research skills. This program consists of three specialization streams options, namely: Peace, Conflict, and Development; Social Work and Community Development; and Climate Change and Development. Our graduates shall be able to compete successfully for jobs in development organizations and eventually, nurture the positive impacts of their training as job providers by launching start-ups, founding NGOs, and creating collaborative networks of Pakistani professionals working together for communal gain.
