Yaruq Nadeem is a Lecturer at NUST Business School (NBS). He holds a Master’s Degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He is also a recipient of the Commonwealth General Scholarship.

He has more than 3 years of industry experience in different sectors and has worked both in Pakistan and United Kingdom. His area of expertise includes Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management and Design Management whereas his research interests include Lean Startup Methodology, Business Model Innovation, Disruptive Innovation, Sharing Economy and Social Media Management.

Mr. Yaruq is currently teaching Entrepreneurship to final year BBA students at NBS. He has previously served as Academic Representative at Imperial College London and Teaching Assistant at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

Areas of expertise include Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management and Design Management.

Mr. Yaruq Nadeem has more than 3 years of industry experience and has worked in multiple sectors including education and textile.

He worked for the Association of Commonwealth Universities as the Regional Network Coordinator for the South East Region in United Kingdom. During this role, Mr. Yaruq led a team of 10 University Representatives and managed a network of over 500 students. He organized a variety of events including educational, social, recreational and networking events in order to enhance the educational and living experience of Commonwealth Scholars in UK.

As Assistant Manager Marketing for Softwood Textiles, Mr. Yaruq was able to secure lucrative brands such as New Look and Bestseller as customers. He streamlined the procurement, production and shipping processes that resulted in reduction in costs, higher efficiency and increased margins. Moreover, he took initiative and launched a demin jeans brand for kids in the local market while acting as an intrapreneur. Furthermore, he led the partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) in order to implement management and social compliance best practices at Softwood Textiles.
