​Dr. Mumtaz Ali Memon is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at the NUST Business School (NBS). He is also the managing editor of the Journal of Applied Structural Equation Modeling and the guest editor of several international journals, including the International Journal of Manpower, Electronic Journal of Applied Statistical Analysis, and Journal of Marketing Analytics. One of his achievements is co-authoring a book entitled “Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS3.0”. The second edition of this book was published in January 2018. In December 2019, he and his colleagues translated SmartPLS3.0 into the Urdu language, which is now officially part of the SmartPLS software (V. 3.2.9).

He received his Ph.D. in Management with specialization in HRM from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and MS in Human Resource Development from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with distinction. Before joining NBS, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of Cluster (Management and Project Management) at the Air University School of Management, Air University Islamabad. He also served as a Research Scientist at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Perak, Malaysia.

Dr. Memon has published in several international refereed journals, including Management Decision, Journal of Management & Organization, Internet Research, International Journal of Strategic Property Management, British Food Journal, Journal of Management Development, European Journal of Training and Development, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness: People and Performance, and Journal of Information and Knowledge Management, among others. He has also presented at several conferences both locally and abroad including Pakistan, Malaysia, Macau, and Thailand. One of his articles was selected as an Outstanding Paper in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards. He also serves as a reviewer for several international journals and member of organizing committees for several conferences of repute.

Being a certified professional trainer and consultant, Dr. Memon has facilitated more than 70 workshops on advanced quantitative research methods, IBM SPSS Statistics, SmartPLS, and IBM SPSS AMOS, for both postgraduate students and lecturers at several universities and research bodies in Malaysia, China, and Pakistan. Dr. Memon’s editorials on “Methodological Misconceptions”, “Mediation Analysis: Issue and Recommendations, and “Moderation Analysis: Issues and Guidelines”, were downloaded more than 16,000 times from ResearchGate and his RG Score (30.20) is higher than 85% of ResearchGate members globally.
