Over the years, NUST Business
School has aided top organizations to recruit the best of the corporate talent
through its successful Job Fairs year after year. NBS provided this opportunity
once again at NBS Job Fair 2017 held on Thursday 27th April,2017
An event that is strategically
designed to provide an opportunity to the corporate sector for the recruitment
of prospective employees by assessing a pool of fresh business graduates, and
recruit top notch of these graduates for jobs and internships.
NBS Job Fair 2016 was a huge
success and following that, NBS Job Fair 2017 was one step ahead, by having a
first ever “From Campus to Corporate”, which was a preamble of Job Fair 2017.
The two-day training program was
designed to equip our graduating students with basic skills required to work in
corporate organizations. The aim was to develop the resource in technical,
personal, and strategic skills.
To achieve our aim to the fullest
Career Pakistan arranged highly skilled and experienced industry personals such
as Irfan Wahab, CEO Telenor, Mr. Mazhar Hussain, Chief Human Resource Officer
at PTCL, Mr. Salman Malik, Vice President, Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs
at Jazz, just to name a few, and invited them to share their experiences and
ideas with our graduating students. Their experiences and ideas would not only
help them to have an impressive start of their career but would also enable
them to succeed professionally in future.
This year’s Job Fair was sponsored
by The Bank of Punjab. More than 35 companies, including Bank of Punjab, ZONG,
WiTribe, NayaTel, and 300 plus graduating students participated. The companies
conducted walk-in interviews of the graduating students and participants were
presented with giveaways.
NBS Job Fair 2017 maintained the
tradition and was a huge success as both the company representatives and
participating student’s feedback was very positive and encouraging.
