Balochistan Visit

On the invitation of voice of Balochistan, a delegation of thirty six students and faculty members went on a five day tour to Quetta and Ziarat along with students of other prominent educational institutes of Islamabad and Lahore to showcase a positive image of the terror affected province. Voice of Balochistan (VOB) is a project initiated by CSCR whose primary aim of VOB is to project a positive image of Balochistan, its people and its rich culture. The aim of this visit was to disseminate the actual narrative of the province based on facts rather than fabrications which are the mainstays of enemy's psychological war in this resource-rich province. It also aimed to showcase that how reconnected Balochistan is with Pakistan as a full-fledged unit of the federation.

During this time period the delegates were taken to different sites and places including Quaid Residency Ziarat, BUITEMS, University of Balochistan, Hannah Lake and many other malls and shopping centers in Balochistan. Interactive sessions were arranged between the students and the administration and positive feedback was generated. An interactive session with Commander of Southern Command was arranged in which people were briefed how CPEC is going to bring prosperity and economic opportunities for Balochistan and the rest of Pakistan. Cultural nights were arranged in BUITEMS and University of Balochistan for the guests. On the final day Chief Minister of Balochistan addressed the delegates and gave a heartwarming speech on national integration,

Minister for Higher Education Punjab was the chief guest and remained and interacted with the delegation throughout the visit. The outcome of the event was very positive as not only the delegation was given laptops from Government of Balochistan but it also generated a positive image of Balochistan in the minds of the visiting delegation.
