Dr. Muhammad Tahir Secured an Additional Grant from USDA and ICARDA
Dr. Muhammad Tahir, Assistant Professor and Head of Plant Biotechnology Department, Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB), has secured an additional grant of $20,000USD from USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and ICARDA. The grant has been awarded for the project entitled "Development and validation of cotton-infecting begomoviral induced cell death via a modified betasatellite containing the Cyt c gene". The study will be a step further in finding a promising solution for leaf-curl disease of cotton caused by Begomovirus. 
Dr. Muhammad Tahir has also received Research Productivity Award by Pakistan Council of Science and Technology for the year 2015-2016 based on his research output. Pakistan Council of Science and Technology collects, compiles and analyses data of individual scientists for Directory of Productive Scientists of Pakistan (PSP).
