ASAB Student Mr. Tahir Hussain Wins Prestigious Travel Award
Tahir Hussain, PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Saadia Andleeb at the Atta-ur-Rahman School of Applied Biosciences (ASAB) won a highly competitive, fully sponsored travel award from the American Association for the Advancements of Science (AAAS). This sponsorship was to attend and present his research in the International Conference on Biotechnology and Bioengineering, held in Barcelona, Spain on July15-17, 2015.

Last year, Tahir Hussain was awarded a travel grant worth $5000 by the prestigious American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to present his abstract in the 114th general meeting of the American Society for Microbiology held at Boston, Massachusetts, USA from May 17-20, 2014.  Tahir Hussain is the first student from ASAB who has attended the ASM meeting.

Tahir Hussain is the first student from NUST, who has been selected for such competitive and prestigious travel awards from ASM and AAAS.
