A delegation of National Academy of sciences USA (US-NAS) visited the Atta ur Rahman School of Applied Biosciences. The delegation included Dr lida Ansetidou, Dr David Hyman, Dr. Ivory clark and Dr Audrey Thevenon. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Linfa wang, Professor and Director Emerging Infectious Diseases Programme at DUKE-NUS medical school, Singapore. In a meeting with Pro Rector Academics NUST, Dr. Asif Raza, accompanied by Principal ASAB Dr. Peter John, HoD Healthcare Biotechnology Dr. Attya Bhatti and Project Fellow of NAS-US Dr Aneela Javed Asst. Prof ASAB, delegation was briefed about the overall NUST structure its schools and excellence in research and academics. The delegation visited ASAB lab facilities followed by meeting with ASAB faculty. The delegation had a detailed briefing about the progress of an ongoing NAS-US research project at ASAB. The delegation then met the collaborators of the aforementioned project at National Institute of Health (NIH). The visit will have a long lasting impact to develop one health research program at NUST.
