Ilm Ideas 2 is a four-year programme funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID). Technology Incubation Centre (TIC) of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) have partnered with Ilm Ideas 2 to support startups who want to improve quality or access to education in Pakistan. Round 1 of Ilm ideas 2 programme have been completed by TIC, NUST already from April 2016 to April 2017.
Second round of Ilm Ideas 2 has been started at TIC with a focus on Bottom of Pyramid (BoP) approach startups. TIC provides free co-working space, seed funding, incubation facilities, mentoring and coaching, and opportunities to participate in national and international events to selected Ed-tech startups.
Why has Ilm Ideas 2 programme started?
Ilm Ideas 2 aims to engage a wide range of players, primarily from the private sector, to develop innovative approaches to improve the supply and demand for quality of education in Pakistan especially for the 5-16 years age children. Ilm Ideas 2 supports education innovations that positively impact the poorest children and young people.
