Orientation Program of Newly Inducted NG Staff
Professional Development Center (PDC),in collaboration with HR Dte,  organized an orientation program for Newly Inducted NG Staff on 26th June, 2014.  The program was attended by 21 participants representing different Directorates and Schools of H-12 Campus. The session started with the introduction of participants which was followed by an overview of the workshop shared by Mr Sarib Hayat, Assistant Director HR. Then Assistant Director Mr Mohammad Rahim presented the roles and responsibilities of the newly inducted staff and policies of NUST including: communication channel to be followed; probation and post probation period; Renewal of contract; performance appraisal reports and contract employment. Assistant Manager HR, Ms Rabia Akbar explained the dress code to be followed by the staff; the level of discipline they must adhere to and the code of conduct they must follow while interacting with various personnel on campus. She also made aware the staff about the facilities they will be provided such as transport, leave and medical care.  Later on in the day, the functioning of C3A (Center for Counseling and Career Advisory) was explained by Ms Sanober Rizvi. After this, Security Supervisor, Mr. Munawar Hussain presented the categories of NUST ID Cards and explained the process of checking ID cards at gates and issuance of temporary cards for visitors. He also shared various SoPs for handling emergency situations. The orientation program concluded with the tour of H-12 campus conducted by Mr Mushtaq Ahmed.
