Interdisciplinary Perspective in Health Education & Research was held at Professional Development Centre (PDC), NUST on 8th April 2014. The workshop was organized in collaboration with Michigan State University, USA. The objectives of the workshop were to develop understanding of global health issues; critical role of social sciences in teaching and practice of community health; community health needs; evidence-based research and policy-making through university-community partnerships and gaining knowledge of cultural competency in the delivery of community health services. The resource person of the workshop was Dr. Khalida Zaki, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Michigan State University, USA.
Dr. Salman Ali, Principal Army Medical College (AMC) - NUST awarded certificates to the participants and appreciated the initiative taken by PDC in providing a platform for the NUST faculty where they can learn from the experience and knowledge of international scholar/researchers.
