A One-Day Customized Workshop on “Corporate Business Law” and “Employment Law” for AWT Professionals
Mr Husnain Ibrahim Kazmi, Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan at High Court Islamabad conducted a two day course on “Corporate Business Law” and “Employment Law” for managers of AWT on 17th and 18th August 2017. The workshop was aimed at developing greater understanding, in the two core areas of law, affecting the mid-level professionals, that is quintessential for both their professional and personal growth. The first day of the course covered: corporate personality and limited liability; choosing a business form advantages and disadvantages of incorporation; memorandum and articles of associates: constitution of company; object clauses and dealing with outsiders; role of directors and shareholders; separation of ownership and control; legal nature of shares; class rights and principles of corporate governance including partnerships. The second day of the workshop  provided an overview of the statutory framework of employment law that classifies employees/workers into different categories such as civil servants, statutory employees, contractual employees, labour/workman etc. ​
