The International Water Summit (IWS)
Ms Sayada Yusrah Shah, Executive University Advancement Office, NUST PNEC represented Pakistan among 180 nationalities at The International Water Summit (IWS), held from January 16-19, 2017 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi UAE, a global platform for promoting water sustainability in arid regions by bringing together world leaders, field experts, academics and business innovators from around the world to share their thinking, exchange expertise and insights and discuss best practice in the water industry in order to accelerate the development of new sustainable strategies and technologies.

Ms Sayada Yusrah Shah, represented water- related projects of NUST PNEC, where her final year - a group project from B.E Mechanical Engineering titled “Human Powered Water Purification System” took the attention of global leaders working in water technologies as the conference’s focus was on energy efficiency within the water cycle, major technological innovations, and reducing water loss in the world. The conference provided the opportunity to interact with key government officials of UAE, business decision-makers, key influencers and innovators from around the globe and besides that, at this must-attend event provided the insights about future infrastructure projects plans, government strategies and market-leading innovations.

Parallel to the conference, the event hosted one of the world’s largest international exhibitions concerning renewable energy and water-related businesses, such as those related to water resources and treatments.
