Pakistan Council for Science & Technology (PCST), an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST), is mandated to advise the government on S&T policy and plans. Promotion of research culture in the country and regular evaluation of scientific research through bibliometric and peer review techniques are among the major objectives of the Council. In this context, PCST grants an annual Research Productivity Award (RPA) to the productive researchers. The idea behind such initiatives is to encourage, particularly young generation toward research oriented careers and appreciate contributions of our researchers.
PCST has recently announced a call for fresh applications for the Research Productivity Award – 2016. Research students and professionals working both in public and private sector universities, S&T / R&D organizations and Ministries/ Divisions who are engaged in basic and applied research are encouraged to apply. In addition, foreign faculty working in Pakistani Institutions for at least one year and having research contributions with the address of Pakistani institutions are also eligible to apply for the RPA.
