Dr. Muhammad FaisalAmjad is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Software Engineering, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan.He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from University of Central Florida USA in 2015. He has served as a Research Scientist at the University of Nevada Reno, USA. Dr. Faisal is a Co-PI of the project titled National Cyber Security Auditing and Evaluation Lab (NCSAEL)established with a funding of PKR 73.4 million from the Higher Education Commission and the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan.

Dr. Muhammad Faisal Amjad is also associated with Center of Data and Text Engineering and Mining (CoDTeEM) at NUST. His current research focusses on the application of machine learning and game theoretic techniques in the domains of IoT and network security, digital forensics and malware analysis. He specializes in dynamic spectrum access and defense against security vulnerabilities in Cognitive Radio Networks as well as wireless sensor and ad hoc networks. He is the Guest Editor of special Issue on Malware Analysis and Vulnerability Detection using Machine Learning in the Journal Security and Communication Networks. Dr. Faisal is recipient of the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship under the Institute of International Education, USA, President’s Gold Medal for Top honors in Masters’ program and Ministry of Science and Technology Masters’ Fellowship.
