Profile Dr Abdul Ghafoor completed his BE Telecommunication Engineering, from UET Lahore, in 1994 with gold medals for securing first position in academics as well as in research project. He completed MS in Electrical Engineering from E&ME College (NUST) in 2003 with cumulative GPA 4.00/4.00 and securing first position. He was awarded NUST split MS/PhD scholarship in 2003 and he joined University of Western Australia for pursuing PhD. During his PhD research in Australia, he was recipient of various scholarships, including International Postgraduate Research Scholarship and Australian Postgraduate Award. His PhD research work was on `Model Reduction´ which is an important area of Control Systems. After successfully completing PhD, he rejoined MCS (NUST) in 2008, where he is currently teaching various courses related to Control Systems to undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervising postgraduate (MS and PhD) theses besides other academic and research activities. He has contributed over 117 research publications which include 64 Journals.
