NEWS SUPPLEMENT
       
21st Convocation “Degrees, Medals Conferred upon MCE Graduates” 
 Military College of Engineering (MCE) held 21st Convocation on 3rd October 2013 to award bachelors Degree of Civil Engineering to 86 graduates.

   A large number of dignitaries, student officers, cadets, their proud parents and the faculty of MCE attended the ceremony. Rector NUST Engineer Muhammad Asghar was the chief guest. The convocation was also attended by Engineer-in-Chief Lieutenant General Najib Ullah Khan, Director General Engineers Major General Muhammad Rafiq Sabir and academia from other universities and intuitions.

  The President Gold Medal to best student was awarded to Captain Mir Alam Din. Rector Gold Medal for best project was awarded to NUST Cadet Asad Ullah Satti. Chief of the Army Staff’s Gold Medal to best military student in academics was awarded to Capt Mir Alm Din and Engineer-in-Chief’s Silver Medal to 2nd best student in academics was awarded to NUST Cadet Muhammad Khizer Khan.

    Chief guest, Rector NUST Engineer Muhammad Asghar, congratulated the students for successful completion of their degree. While addressing the audience, he applauded the endeavors being made by MCE for imparting quality education. He emphasized “In the present day of unabated phenomenal explosion of knowledge and scientific inquiry, only those individuals can stay in step, who have genuine spirit and passion for learning new concepts and action strategies. I am sure that with your wholehearted efforts and well-directed energies, you shall Insha Allah, succeed in redeeming exacting commitment in your professional life; As freshly graduated Civil Engineers, you have to strive hard to prove yourself worthy of the trust and confidence reposed in you by the nation. Those of you who have graduated as civilian cadets are indeed very fortunate to have benefited from the most conducive atmosphere for higher learning that Military College of Engineering offers”.

     Earlier, Commandant MCE Major General Anwar Ul Haq Chaudhry welcomed the chief guest, students and their parents on the auspicious occasion of convocation.
     The audience gave tremendous applause to distinguished students who won medals.
