Dr. Muhammad Shahid Siddique is currently serving as Assistant Professor at Military College of Engineering, Risalpur Campus of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. During PhD his area of research was Multi-hazard risk assessment, considering two major hazards of Pakistan (Earthquakes and floods). He was a key member of the Earthquake Damage Analysis Center (EDAC), Bauhaus University Weimar and worked there on various projects as research assistant. 

 

He is having more than five years of work experience as structural design engineer in national and international organizations. He has published one research paper in Earthquake Spectra Journal and one in the 12th World Conference for Earthquake Engineering, Lisbon, Portugal.

  • 2010 - 2015    Doctor of Philosophy in Civil / Structural Engineering at the Earthquake Damage Analysis  Center, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. Title of dissertation: Multi-hazard based risk assessment procedures. Case study of Pakistan.

  • 2008 - 2010    Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. Title of thesis: Experienced based seismic damage evaluation of masonry type structures.
