Dr. Sarfraz Ali is currently Dean/ Chief Instructor at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), College of Civil Engineering MCE Risalpur Campus. Formerly, he was Senior Instructor (SI) at MCE in year 2011-2012 and Assistant Professor/ Deputy Director at NUST Islamabad in year 2009-2010. He holds MS Geotechnical Engineering and a Ph.D. degree from University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Dr. Sarfraz Ali has more than 25 years of work experience in various disciplines of Civil Engineering with emphasis on Rock Mechanics and Landslide Management system's evaluation/ decision making. He has presented his research works at multiple international conferences and authored/ co-authored several peer-reviewed archival journal publications. He holds supervision of five MS thesis research studies and has over more than 25 publications to his credit. Dr. Sarfraz Ali has hosted "Fifth International Conference on Recent Advances in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics” held in May 23-29, 2010 at San Diego, California, USA, and "Seventh International Conference on Recent Advances in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics” August 2013, held at Chicago, USA.
