Plan 9 Winners

Plan 9 is Pakistan’s first nationwide tech incubator. An aid to those Pakistanis who want to become aspiring entrepreneurs one day. The only catch is they accept teams who are well integrated and are working on a tech based product. Young, fresh and inventive entrepreneurs fall back in developing the right connections, gaining expert attention and covering seed investment. Their incubation is one of a kind, a tailor-designed process. They provide the few selected teams, a competitive environment that breeds creativity and productivity; focusing on each team individually as well as collectively. They provide their incubated teams with free office space, laptops at Arfa Software Technology Park. Each incubatee is granted a monthly stipend to assist financially. They assure that the focus is only on developing and tweaking the product; the rest is taken care of by plan9. They guide in the following domains:

  • Refinement of business plans
  • Mentoring on product development
  • Connecting with potential clients
  • Advising on internal operations
  • Affixing with domain-specific mentors
  • Safeguarding legal concerns

A total of 15 teams are selected all over Pakistan.Team I-Trak comprised of  Syed Muhammad Mehdi, Ansar Mahmood, Hassan Javed,  and team SmartM2M comprised of Asad Naeem, Saad bin Tariq, Majid Iqbal, Jawad Javaid Khan and Mujtaba Hasan Raza from DEE NUST College of EME participated in the contest and has successfully been incubated in Plan9 program. They presented their business plan in front of a panel of judges comprising of investors and heads of companies who have well-established businesses. Our teams were top-rated by judges among all winning teams.
