Basic Sciences and Humanities (BS&H) department aims at providing a comprehensive knowledge of basic scientific principles, mathematical tools and developing the personalities of their students in every sphere of life. The department was established in November, 1993. The courses offered by the department are on Mathematics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, English, Pakistan Studies and Religious Studies; and cover about 30% of the Engineering Curriculum. To inculcate quality education highly qualified permanent faculty is employed. There are 21 faculty members in the department out of which 10 hold PhD degrees. The curriculum focuses primarily on the development of the fundamental tools that are essential for all engineering majors and strives to provide a strong foundation, which allows the students to cope up with the basic mathematical and physical concepts of engineering educations.
