Dr Liaquat Ullah Iqbal is Associate Professor and Head of  Industrial Engineering Department , College of Aeronautical Engineering (CAE) National University of Sciences& Technology (NUST), Pakistan. He completed his undergraduate studies from the US Air Force Academy in 1994 in the specialty of aerospace engineering. He holds MSc degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering with specialty in Aerodynamics and PhD degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering with specialty inMDO applications in Aircraft Conceptual Design. Dr Liaquat is an Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering systems educator and designer with the international award winning teaching and research skills and experience. Military career includes cadet training at the PAF and USAF Academies and flying of various piston and jet aircraft in the Pakistan Air Force (1994-2003). After Staff Job assignment for five years at the Air Headquarters, Islamabad and teaching Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Courses at the Air University, Islamabad from 2010-2014, he recently joined College of Aeronautical Engineering, NUST, Risalpur as Associate Professor. He is also Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Air University, Islamabad.​​​​
