Dr. Hammad Cheema attended workshop on government science advice organized by International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA) held in Malaysia from 10-12th June 2017. The workshop was conducted by Sir Peter Gluckman (Chief science advisor to Prime Minister of New Zealand) and Professor Zakri (Science advisor to Prime Minister of Malaysia). The platform provided an excellent opportunity to learn the process adopted in providing scientific advice to governments in face of health, climate and other challenges. As a result of this workshop, Asia Pacific chapter of INGSA has been launched and will begin activities in year 2018.
Dr. Hammad Cheema was also one of the four hundred scientists selected from the Commonwealth countries to attend the Commonwealth Science Conference (CSC17) held in Singapore from 13-16th June 2017. Attended by notable scientists from the commonwealth countries, it provided an exceptional opportunity to network and hear the latest developments from a wide variety of scientific fields
