The widespread use of electronic circuits for communication, computation and automation makes it necessary for diverse circuits to operate in close proximity to each other and to comply with government electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI) regulations. In this context, the IEEE Islamabad Section Antennas & Propagation Society, Microwave Theory & Techniques Society and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (IEEE MTTS/APS/EMCS) joint chapter has organized a 2 days IEEE EMC/EMI workshop on 2-3 July 2019 at Research Institute for Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Studies (RIMMS), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), H-12, Islamabad, Pakistan, exclusively focus on EMC/EMI issues and design techniques to build EMC/EMI compliant systems. The workshop also included demo sessions using state-of-the-art measurement equipment.
The workshop was attended by students, faculty members and industry representatives from all over Pakistan. The workshop was financially supported via EMC Society Haislmaier Angel Fund Program. The invited speakers were Dr. Nosherwan Shoaib, Engr. Maira Islam and Engr. Saba Fatima from RIMMS, NUST and Ahmed Shafqat from Rohde & Schwarz, Islamabad, Pakistan.
