RCMS Faculty Delivered Talk as Keynote Speaker at Second National Conference on Space Science
The Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics, University of Karachi organized the Second National Conference on Space Science on October 7-8, 2013. The conference was organized in collaboration with HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, SUPARCO, Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Physical Society, Sindh Chapter. The conference was held during the time duration of the World Space Week 2013. The main theme of the conference was “Exploring the Universe”.
Dr. Adnan Maqsood from RCMS, NUST delivered the keynote lecture on “Overview of Low Reynolds Number Flight: From Earth to Mars”. In this talk, a holistic perspective of the challenges faced by technology protagonists to develop low Reynolds number flyers for Earth as well as Mars were laid down. Subsequently, associated efforts carried out by Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics Research group of RCMS were presented. The objective of the “National Conference on Space Science” was to provide a forum for discussion and implementation of the Space Science in Pakistan.
