Symposium on Emerging Massively Parallel Computer Architecture
Start Date
10/16/2012
End Date
10/26/2012
Venue
RCMS

The Field of computing is undergoing a revolutionary transformation due to the emergence of massively parallel computing platforms, such as the general purpose Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and Many-core CPUs. The ubiquity of these devices makes the technology of parallel computing very accessible cost effective. Moreover, the scalability of solutions based on these processors can go from Terescale to Exascale computing throughputs. This one-day Symposium focuses on bringing together a panel of scientists and engineers involved in large scale scientific simulations in variety of fields as well as experts in parallel computing who can exploit the power of these emerging high performance computing devices for a variety of scientific problems.
