Send-off reception for students & faculty departing for Arizona State University (ASU)
Senior officials from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and energy-engineering students and faculty from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar clamped first send-off reception for students and faculty departing for Arizona State University (ASU). Over the next four years, 200 graduate students and faculty from NUST and UET Peshawar will spend a semester each at ASU to carry out energy-related research at state of the art laboratories under the U.S.-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies (USPCASE) project. Under the first batch 12 students and 2 faculty members will be visiting ASU. This exchange visits will provide faculty the opportunity to upgrade their pedagogy and corporate-partnering skills and the students to enhance their research skills and industry awareness.
