General
NUST conducts NET at three locations, ie NUST Campus Islamabad, Karachi and Quetta.
Whereas at Islamabad Campus NET is conducted in computer-based format, in Karachi and Quetta the test is in paper-based format.
Candidates can appear in entrance test more than once to improve their score, and apply for admission separately on the basis of best score when applications are invited.
The standard of test is that of intermediate level education aimed at evaluation of factual knowledge, comprehension and application.
The pattern and the standard of question papers for both types of tests is the same.
Computer-based test is designed according to the on-line examinations practiced throughout the world. It is easy to attempt with minimal practice. Instructions to attempt computer-based entrance test along with mock test module will be available at NUST website for guidance.
At Islamabad Campus, computer based entrance tests will be held in multiple sessions according to the following schedule:
First Session (NET 1) - April - May
Second Session (NET 2) - June - July
In Karachi and Quetta, paper based entrance test will be conducted only once in July.
Entrance Test result for computer based test will be available on NUST web portal within 24 hours and for paper based test within 7 days.
